Feeling stuck or overwhelmed? We can work with that.

Compassionate coaching for tired, capable humans — with and without ADHD

Meet Jessica

Jessica Leigh Johnston, BASc, MJ

A former journalist and educator, current mid-life career pivoter, I’m now training as an ADHD coach through the ADD Coach Academy (ADDCA). When I burned out on 60-hour work weeks and perimenopause made my own ADHD traits unignorable, I knew things had to be different. It took me a minute to get used to the word 'coach' in relation to myself. You may have noticed it's picked up some baggage in recent years. But here we are! And while the word is still not my favourite, the work itself can be both practical and profound. My role is to be a thinking partner, working with people to make day-to-day challenges feel more manageable. I tend to work with ADHDers (diagnosed or not) and those experiencing overwhelm related to situations such as chronic illness, burnout, (peri)menopause, or watching the news lately. You may come to coaching looking to take action more easily, develop personal systems, or improve your emotional regulation. Maybe you want to build healthier routines, prepare for a difficult conversation, or move toward a new career. Whatever you bring, we can work with. (Or find someone who can.)No one gets enough opportunity to process the nitty gritty stuff of life with the support of a judgement-free other. It’s remarkable what can happen when we slow down, say things out loud, and befriend our brains.

I am offering low-cost ($5) coaching sessions to a limited number of clients as I build my skills and hours.
